For many years Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home & Crematory has been deeply involved in the lives, and deaths, of our friends and neighbors in western Montana. Over the years we’ve learned many things, but perhaps none is as profound as the significance of the funeral service. This final opportunity to pay tribute to the passing of a loved one honors and celebrates the deceased in the most personal of ways, while providing family and friends with a very necessary opportunity to share and lessen their grief. Funerals are not merely rituals for the passing of a loved one, they are the deceased’s final gift to family and closest friends.
At Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home & Crematory, established in 2010, serves western Montana families from a brand new convenient location in Helena. Our mortuary is located across the street from Resurrection Cemetery in Helena, Montana.
Mikel Stevenson – Director
Mikel was born and raised in Miles City MT. After graduating from Custer County High School, he attended college at Montana State University-Bozeman. There, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, with a Minor In Economics. After completing his Bachelor’s Degree, he studied at the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York, NY, where he received his Mortuary Science Degree.
Mikel moved to Helena, Montana in April of 2010 and became one of seven family members serving as a mortician, He is part of the Stevenson family’s third generation in providing funeral services to communities. Mikel married Kami Sevier in August of 2018. The Mikel and Kami reside in Helena with their son Sutton, who was born in September of 2022. The couple is still adjusting to the new family’s schedules in their household!! Mikel enjoys working on and restoring old vehicles, car shows, hunting and fishing whenever an opportunity arises.
Chris Holt – Director
Chris was born in Helena, Montana and graduated high school in Oregon. He had worked in property management/ maintenance for all his life. He began working part time as a funeral assistant in Great Falls, Montana in 2000 and decided to serve families full time in funeral service and enrolled at the Mount Hood Community College in Portland, Oregon where he graduated from Funeral Service in 2007.
Chris moved his family to Helena and has been serving the Helena community and surrounding areas since 2007. He is married to his wife Kelly and they have five children: Justine, Joey, Tristen, Armanie, and Madison.
Chris is a member of the Helena Lions Club, a Master Mason of Helena Lodge #3, member of the Montana Funeral Directors Association in which he is currently serving as President, and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association.
Chris and his family enjoy the outdoors and the activities around Helena and surrounding areas with hunting, fishing, and hiking. Chris serves families with utmost compassion, professionalism, and sincerity.
Joseph D. Stevenson – Director
After graduating from Mount Hood Mortuary in 1980, Joe returned to the family business in Miles City. Joe and Patricia Riley were married in 1981, and have four sons: Jason, Scott, Mikel and David. Joe is a member of the Rotary Club, Elks, Miles City Club, Montana Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association and Grace Bible Church. Joe relaxes by spending time at the barn with his Clydesdales. He also enjoys the challenges and rewards of car restoration, as well as being a pilot.
Patty Stevenson – Office Personnel
Patty was born in scenic Missoula, MT. She graduated from the Powder River High School in 1978 and then attended college at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. Patty and Joe Stevenson were married in 1981, and continued working together at the funeral home in Miles City. Patty and Joe have four children: Jason, Scott, and the twins, David and Mikel. Patty is a member of Grace Bible Church and loves to watch sports whether on TV or in the stands.
Todd Stevenson – Director
Todd was born and raised in Miles City, MT and is a graduate of Custer County High School. He knew from an early age that he wanted to be a Funeral Director. Todd married Terri in 1982, and finished up his Associates degree at Miles City Community College. He then went on to get his Mortuary Science degree in Portland Oregon, where he and his wife graduated together in 1984. After graduation, the couple came back to Miles City to work in the family business. Todd has a heart for funeral services, and he is also a visionary. He wanted to expand into other area towns and serve their communities as he has served Miles City and the surrounding areas. As the proper opportunities arose, he was able to take the highly regarded Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home name to many communities. Todd now spends a great deal of his time ensuring that the special care, personal attention and profound respect that are the foundation of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Homes are always honored at all of the different locations. They have two adult children: Tiffany and TJ. Tiffany is married to Ren Gardner and TJ is Married to Haley (Anderson). Tiffany and Ren have four boys. Todd actively follows his four grandsons as they participate in numerous and varied sporting events. He also very much enjoys just spending time with them. He is a member of Grace Bible Church, Montana Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, The Miles City Club, Miles City Town & Country Club and served on The Board of Morticians. He enjoys hunting, fishing and cooking for family and friends, when time permits.
Terri Stevenson – Director
Terri was born in Redding, CA. Her father worked for Conoco Oil, so they were transferred to many locations throughout her education. She graduated from Green Mountain High School in Lakewood, CO. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University for her freshman year and then went to Western Bible College in CO for two years. She married Todd Stevenson in 1982, and they finished credits for Mortuary School at Miles City Community College. Both graduated with their degrees in Mortuary Science from Mount Hood in Oregon in 1984. They headed back to Miles City to help in the family business. They have two adult children: Tiffany and TJ. Tiffany is married to Ren Gardner and TJ is Married to Haley (Anderson). Tiffany and Ren have four boys. Terri also enjoys her four, very active grandsons who regularly participate in many various activities. In their free time, she is at baseball games, football and soccer fields and gyms watching basketball and wrestling. Terri is a member of Grace Bible Church, The Town and Country Club, Montana Funeral Directors Association, where she served as President in 2009, and The National Funeral Directors Association. Along with spending time with her family, she loves gardening, fishing and golfing.
Jenny Vogels – Office Administrator
Jenny moved to Helena, Montana from Green Bay, Wisconsin in May of 2012 to pursue her dream of mountain living. She has been with Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home since June of 2012 and is honored to be serving the Helena and surrounding communities. In her free time, Jenny enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, reading, cooking, enjoying nature, watching sports (especially the Packers, Badgers and Brewers) and taking care of her Golden Lab, Ruby. Jenny is devoted to family and friends, and cherishes any time she is able to spend with them. Jenny also enjoys meeting new people and learning about their life’s experiences.
Alan “Fats” Gullickson – Part-Time Assistant
Alan has been a lifelong resident of Helena and has worked for Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home for the past 25 years. Fats had a 34-year career and retired as Fire Chief from Fort Harrison Veteran Affairs Fire Department. He was joined by his wife Barb after a 40-year career with the State of Montana. They both love the great outdoors and relish spending time with their children, Nikkila (Mike) and Tyler (Megan) and their four grandchildren; Savannah, Chasyn, Kashton, and Kaisley. Life is great for us all under the big skies of Montana.
